MCHS Gets Safe School Award
Monroe County High School will be presented with a Safe School Award by the Attorney General Luther Strange personally in an assembly ceremony on May 10, 2016 at 10:00am.

The Attorney General's Alabama Safe Schools Initiative 2015 Awards of Excellence are given to schools to recognize excellence in school safety with special emphasis being placed on the use of technology. One school from each of the eight Alabama public school board districts and three private schools located geographically in North, Central and South Alabama have been selected.  The nominations were reviewed and judged on the following criteria:  Law Enforcement/Local Emergency Officals Collaboration, Crisis Management Preparation Training, School Resource Office/Technology, Mentoring Initiatives/Community Participation, Law-related Education/Drug Abuse, Bullying and Cyber-Bullying Prevention, and Best Practices.
