MISSION STATEMENT


🏫 Purpose of Title VII, Part A – Indian Education

Title VII, Part A, aims to assist local educational agencies, Indian tribes and organizations, and postsecondary institutions in meeting the unique educational and culturally related academic needs of American Indian and Alaska Native students. The goal is to ensure these students can meet the same challenging state student academic achievement standards as all other students. U.S. Department of Education

The primary objectives include:

  1. Culturally Relevant Education: To ensure that Indian students gain knowledge and understanding of Native communities, languages, tribal histories, traditions, and cultures.
  2. Effective Instruction: To ensure that teachers, principals, and other school leaders can provide culturally appropriate and effective instruction and support to Indian students.
  3. Educational Equity: To support efforts that meet the unique educational and culturally related academic needs of American Indian and Alaska Native students, enabling them to meet the same challenging state student academic achievement standards as all other students. 📚 Allowable Uses of Title VII Funds

Title VII funds can be utilized for a variety of programs and services, including:
